  • They are preparing to return to Peru near the end of February. Seven recently graduated from the seminary there.

  • A temporary meeting place for the Machilipatnam Church has been found. Pray that there will soon be funds to get land and to build. 250,000 people in this area need the truth.

Mark and Leslie Boyd and Family

  • Missionaries to Germany
  • Two individuals are close to accepting Christ. Pray for Leslie who broke her right big toe – a problem with six kids to keep up with.
  • The Snells are at 61% support. Pray that they can join the Boyds a year from this coming summer.
  • An evangelistic meeting is being planned for December 18th. 2000 flyers have gone out! There is much excitement.

  • Baptist Mid-Missions to Germany on deputation.
  • After the holidays in CO, they have IA, IL, and MN meetings through Feb.

        They are back safely in the USA and are thankful for the Minivan.

  • Seven people are very interested in accepting Christ but have yet to make the decision. Pray for them.

David and Patti West

  • Gospel Mission of S.A. Less than 25% of support to go!
  • They will be going to language school in January. Pray for the scheduling of meetings between the semesters of language school

  • Pray that they can soon join their coworkers in the DelMarVa area.

Joy Akkermann

  • Baptist Mid-Missions headed to the jungles of Peru
  • For when she moves permanently to the jungle, Joy has found a place to live next door to her co-workers. Praise the Lord!

  • They have resigned from ABWE. Now with Village Missions.
  • There are 17 Village Missions churches across the U.S. that need a pastor.
  • By next summer, the Campbell family hopes to be ministering in one of these churches. Prayers needed!

Mark, Anahi, and Sophia Self

  • Church planters/Serving in Argentina
  • Some matching funds are available that would make it possible to finish the main floor by their fall of 2017. Pray God prompts folks to give by the end of January.
  • The building project has brought inquiries about the Church and new attenders at the Bible studies!

Rick and Elaine Fessel

  • Assisting the German Missionaries in Eichstatt, Germany (BMM)
  • Pray for their visa renewal to go smoothly. Continue to pray for their work with the refugees. Pray for Pastor Willi and his family.

Ben and Katie Wooster

  • CBM Builders.
  • Their support level is at 81%, and they report all has gone well at the W. VA worksite. Pray for their travels back to IA for Christmas. Ben’s truck has had some issues. Pray these are getting fixed promptly.

The Hemsworths

  • On deputation to serve at Missionary Acres – now at 29% support.
  • Check out their new website: hemsworths2ma.com
  • Ron continues his advanced EMT class through Jan.
  • There is a “well” issue at Missionary Acres. Also, pray for the remodeling of the Hemsworth’s house there. June 2018 is the target date for the family being at their post!

The Barry Farlow family

  • Serving with Baptist Mid-Missions in Brazil in Church and Seminary teaching.
  • The Church the Farlows are working with is building a pastoral home so that when they get a pastor, they will have his home ready.
  • Pray that the publishing building sells so a replacement building can be purchased in a different area. (With a bad economy, this is a hard request!!)

 

 

LET’S PRAY, GIVE, AND GO TO OUR NEIGHBORS AND CO-WORKERS! IF WE ARE ALL FAITHFUL IN OUR TASK, THE JOB WILL GET DONE! Pray for FBBC and Seminary students on break, Pastor Capon, State GARBC Rep.; the online Bible study for kids at www.iToadU.com ; Shepherd’s; Alpha Women’s Center (needs a Spanish-speaking volunteer); our KJAN Radio Broadcast and our website: www.fbcbrayton.org ; IARBC statewide ministries; Baptist Children’s Home Ministries; and Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh (When funds come in, the matching grant will be released, and Phase II of the construction on the new hospital will begin! OB is having patient overload. Pray earnestly about this difficult problem. – See letter on hall bulletin board for details.). Pray for Israel/the Jews. Pray that we will see those who need the Lord in our own neighborhoods. Patch Clubs and the Youth Compass ministries resume after the first of the year. Pray for more willing workers to help out each Wednesday night. Pray families in this area will see the need of boys and girls to hear the Gospel and to grow spiritually through: Sunday School, Children’s Church, as well as the Patch/Compass ministries.
