  • Translation is back in full swing.
  • Pray for the teens as pagan initiation rites are taking place,

The Mapes

  • With Baptist Mid-Missions – Ghana.
  • The teaching/helping time in Berekum and Wa is fast nearing the end. Pray for the Mapes as they head to the states April 27th.
  • Pray that their support comes quickly so that they can head back for a full term there.

  • A good Spiritual Emphasis Week was held. Churches are being planted by the students graduated from the Seminary.
  • Pray for the victims of the flooding. More than a year’s rain fell in minutes near the driest place on earth. Devastation! Send gifts to help: Baptist Mid-Missions’ World Relief—–Peru fund. (See letter.)

Wesley and Sonia Chatla

  • International Gospel Missions – Church planting in India
  • There has been much concern for Wesley’s dad who had to have his leg amputated after his accident. He has ridden his bike and taken the gospel far – for years. His depression is improving, and he is home. Pray for the family!

Mark and Leslie Boyd and Family

  • Missionaries to Germany
  • The Boyds eagerly await the help of the Snells as the work to establish a Church in Neumarkt continues slowly with only one couple.

The Snells

  • Baptist Mid-Missions to Germany, now on deputation.
  • Baby has arrived safely.
  • The goal is still the same: Germany by June.
  • 76% of their support is in. Each week is filled with meetings.

James / Christen Taylor – Brazil (www.taylors4brazil.blogspot.com )

  • There has been much travel during their days in the States.
  • They plan to return to Brazil on July 1. Still needed $750 monthly support!

  • Baptist Mid-Missions, in Brazil
  • They had the first baptismal service at the church in Sao Pedro. Pray for the four who gave testimony of changed lives.
  • Pray the outreach to new areas of the city.
  • The church building on the reservation is near completion. Services are being held there!

David and Patti West

  • Gospel Mission of S.A.
  • They are in language school now. The end of their first semester is in sight.
  • Pray that $870. per month additional support will be in place so that they can be on the field a year from now.

Mark and Jennifer Tylavsky

  • Pray with them as they hope to join their coworkers in the DelMarVa area this summer!.
  • A place to live has opened up more quickly than the family dared hope. Pray they can minister even as they wrap up pre-field ministry. Nine more individual supporters and 3 supporting Churches would be all that is needed.

Joy Akkermann

  • Baptist Mid-Missions headed to the jungles of Peru
  • An opportunity has opened for Joy to teach English in a Christian Private School. Pray Fridays as she teaches 5 classes and speaks in Chapel!
  • 3 new members joined the Church in Kiteni!

  • They await an assignment with Village Missions.
  • There are 17 Village Missions churches across the U.S. that need a pastor. The decision is being made on which is the best fit for the Campbells

  • Church planters/Serving in Argentina.
  • The police ministry is going again. Pray that growing interest is followed by officers accepting Christ as Savior by several.

Rick and Elaine Fessel

  • Assisting the German Missionaries in Eichstatt, Germany (BMM) One refugee has been allowed to stay in Germany. The second man still awaits his decision.
  • They are visiting two of their daughters in Ireland for a few days.

Ben and Katie Wooster

  • CBM Builders.
  • Pray that funds for the needed 5th wheel replacement will come in before Sept.

The Barry Farlow family

  • Serving with Baptist Mid-Missions in Brazil in Church and Seminary teaching. Their furlough comes in July.
  • Latin American missionaries (the majority) are reaching retirement, and no new candidates are joining for ANY Latin American country! Pray that God will send forth laborers!

 

LET’S PRAY, GIVE, AND GO TO OUR NEIGHBORS AND CO-WORKERS! IF WE ARE ALL FAITHFUL IN OUR TASK, THE JOB WILL GET DONE! Pray for FBBC and Seminary students ending the school year, Pastor Capon, State GARBC Rep.; the online Bible study for kids at www.iToadU.com ; Shepherd’s; Alpha Women’s Center; our KJAN Radio Broadcast and our website: www.fbcbrayton.org ; IARBC statewide ministries; Baptist Children’s Home Ministries; and Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh. Pray for Israel/the Jews. Pray that we will see those who need the Lord in our own neighborhoods. Patch Clubs and the Youth Compass ministries. (The Club year hasn’t many weeks left!) – that kids can attend Church on Sunday. Pray that families in this area will see the need of boys and girls to hear the Gospel and to grow spiritually through: Sunday School, Children’s Church, as well as the Patch/Compass ministries.
