  • “Retired” in NJ after Church planting for 40 years in Brazil.
  • They are working on learning Spanish to be able to minister to the Hispanic families that their Church is reaching.
  • They are loving opportunities to invest their lives in their grandkids. They recently visited the new grandbaby and parents in Nicaragua.

  • Pray for more workers for the field of Japan. Several missionaries are facing retirement.

  • Missionary Builders with CBM, building — have completed the project at Fort Ashby, W. Va. and are serving at Mission Headquarters.

  • A funeral service for a long-time resident in town brought many opportunities for sharing the Gospel.
  • Pray for the man who “discovered” the Church through a friend in another state – that he will continue to attend and be faithful.

  • Classes at the Bible Institute start March 3rd.
  • The Church celebrated its 7th Pray for a new work that the Church hopes to start in the city in 2018.

  • With Baptist Mid-Missions serving in their native India
  • Molly needs a kidney transplant.
  • Pray for great results from the January modules taught by Henry and others who traveled to India with him.

 

Pat and Bonnie Ryal

  • They are dealing with long-term effects of the chemo drugs the Dr. needed in order to go into remission with the cancer. An irregular heart rhythm is his latest health issue. Pray the Ryals can still be of use to the Lord in Nicaragua and other Latin American areas.

  • Pray for the Sharbaughs – their support level is slowly increasing!
  • George and Dottie both continue to lead Bible studies.
  • Continue to pray for C and R as they attempt to find a Biblically sound Church in Norway.

  • Translation workshops are being going on in FOUR different languages this year. Pray for Anna Beth to have the necessary strength for the task.
  • Pray for the computer training that is going on for the Chadian translators. Many have never used a computer, let alone the translation soft ware they need to work with.
  • Pray for a peaceful solution to the school and hospital strikes now going on in Chad.
  • FACT: Africa’s 1.2 million people speak 2,144 of the world’s 7,099 languages!

  • With Baptist Mid-Missions – Ghana. Back full-time in their African ministry.

  • With COME bringing an evangelistic outreach to small Churches.

Pat and Wendy Campbell

  • Baptist Mid-Missions, Missionaries to Peru
  • They return from the States to Peru the end of February to resume teaching responsibilities.
  • Pray for the students as they start classes at SEBIC in March.

Wesley and Sonia Chatla

  • International Gospel Missions – Church planting in India

Mark and Leslie Boyd and Family

  • Church planting missionaries to Germany
  • A meeting place for the Church remains to be found.
  • Plans are underway for evangelistic meetings in September. Pray that getting through all the red tape will be doable.

The Snells

  • Baptist Mid-Missions to Germany.
  • They have advanced to Level 3 in the language program.
  • Pray for a meeting place for Church services.

James / Christen Taylor – Brazil (www.taylors4brazil.blogspot.com

  • Five new members have joined the Church.
  • Praise the Lord for a discount on the roof for the church building. The businessman said he was a Christian and wanted to cut their cost as much as he could.
  • Pray for the pastoral transition to one of the two men who have been in pastoral training for 2 years.
  • Pray the Church members will create a habit of reading God’s Word.

John and Bev Leonard (www.prayforjohnblog.wordpress.com)

  • Baptist Mid-Missions, in Brazil
  • They have been asked to work with another Guarani village about 2 hrs. away. Pray that the Gospel is well received.
  • A family counseling/educational center is being planned for a broken community of Sao Paulo. Pray for the 6 missionaries and wives who are undertaking the endeavor to bring structure to the community.
  • The load is overwhelming. Pray for strength for John and Bev.

David and Patti West

  • Gospel Mission of S.A
  • Plans are to move to Argentina in March. Pray that the remaining support is in by then!

 Mark and Jennifer Tylavsky

  • Church Planters with CBM.
  • They still need to find a renter for their house here in IA.
  • In their last update, they were moving into a quite suitable house in the Bowie area!
  • Their van has some major engine issues. Pray for them as they look for a different vehicle.

 

 

Joy Akkermann

  • Baptist Mid-Missions transitioning to the jungles of Peru
  • VBS is just ahead for Joy. Pray for her as she leads the Kiteni ministry.
  • Pray God will provide the property and the funds for a church building in the little town.
  • In August this year, Joy comes on her first furlough. (6 months)

  • Church planting in Murdo, SD.
  • The after-school kid’s club is reaching many kids that do not attend the Campbell’s Church.

  • Twenty-seven Americans and 40 Argentines worked on the Church building!
  • Much was accomplished. (See pics on mission board.)
  • The Selfs will visit the US for a short time to speak at a Mission’s Conference.

  • Assisting the German Missionaries in Eichstatt, Germany (BMM)

Ben and Katie Wooster

  • CBM Builders.
  • Their support level has reached 89%.
  • When the fellowship hall project is completed, they will head to IA. Pray for good weather when they undertake that move.

The Hemsworth Family

  • On deputation to serve at Missionary Acres.
  • Check out their new website: hemsworths2ma.com
  • Their support level is at 67%. Pray that the remainder of their need is supplied by June 30 so that they can be at Missionary Acres the end of August.

The Barry Farlow family

  • On furlough from serving with Baptist Mid-Missions in Brazil in Church and Seminary teaching.
  • The Farlows are in Burney, CA to report the next 1 ½ months

 

LET’S PRAY, GIVE, AND GO TO OUR NEIGHBORS AND CO-WORKERS! IF WE ARE ALL FAITHFUL IN OUR TASK, THE JOB WILL GET DONE! Pray for FBBC and Seminary as students prepare to serve the Lord, Pastor Capon, State GARBC Rep., the online Bible study for kids at www.iToadU.com ; Shepherd’s; Alpha Women’s Center; our KJAN Radio Broadcast and our website: www.fbcbrayton.org ; IARBC statewide ministries; Baptist Children’s Home Ministries; and Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh. Pray for Israel/the Jews. Pray that we will reach those who need the Lord in our own neighborhoods. Patch Clubs meet weekly and need much prayer. Pray that these kids can attend Church on Sunday. Pray that families in this area will see the need of boys and girls hearing the Gospel in order to grow spiritually every week by means of: Sunday School, Children’s Church ministries. Pray for and attend Women’s Bible Study, WMF Project Days and Men’s Prayer and Project Mornings!
