Our Retired Missionaries – several of them still get some financial support from our Church

Virgil and Dolores Bunjer, Baptist Mid-Missions, now living at Ottumwa, IA, (GermanChurch Planters) returned from a trip to Muncie, IN (where their grandson graduated with a Drs. Degree in Music) via Missionary Acres. More volunteers are needed to work on the residences and ground where many retired missionaries now home from serving abroad are now living. Virgil recently had his 6 mo. physical and is consulting with an ear specialist. His “good ear” has gone bad due to congestion.

Missionaries We Support Financially and with Prayer

Norman and Susan Smith family on furlough from Japan seeking to build bridges to individuals/establish Churches– www.smithlife.net write that their furlough is ½ over! They are completing meetings in MN and plan to be in IA the next month. (At Carroll, IA on Nov. 18). “Pray that the Lord will send more laborers to the harvest field of Japan.”

Darrel, Lori, Stephanie, and Stacy Jingst, EBI (Spanish Literature Publication) in Sebring, FL Remember at election time to pray that as they work at the polls together, that Lori will have more chances to speak to Norma about the Lord. Praise the Lord that 16 Latin American pastors are studying the online program offered through PiedmontUniversity. Only good has come from this new opportunity to train pastors and professors. The shop has been able to purchase a second digital duplicator, a more sophisticated folding machine and a new laminator! Pray for new personnel needed: Business Administration, Project Coordinator, Graphic Design, and marketing and distribution person. Also, $$$$ are needed for upcoming printing projects.

Stephen and Cathy King returned from Scotland where they got acquainted with co-workers/ministry.

Stephen has a blood clot in his left leg. He has recovered. The news he got from his oncology Dr. is good. Only God’s answer to prayer could have made his blood work “totally back to normal.” Markers show no indication of cancer! Stephen and Cathy are now with Heather, their daughter in hospice. She is not expected to live out the month. Pray for her husband who shows no inclination of salvation, and pray for the grandkids. Pray that all works out for their futures.

The postal system is on strike. The Federal Police that process passports are also on strike. Pray all will be in hand when the Farlows are ready to leave for the USA. They praise the Lord that they will be able to live in Crestion, IA from Jan. – June. They still need a place to stay in Washingtonstate during next Sept.

The James Taylors (www.taylors4brazil.blogspot.com ) in BrazilPleasepray that David and Sharon arrive back from furlough safely next month and that the James Taylors find the place God would have them live. Pray for Demetrius. He is in a relationship that does not honor the Lord, and he has changed his attitude recently. Pray that the Lord will bring him back! Praise God that the oldest lady in the group of Christians there has reached out to bring 5 unsaved friends to ladies’ meetings.

Some individuals have quit coming for lack of interest. Another couple has thrilled the missionary by wanting a little Bible study; eleven came the first night. Pray for Alfredo and family who have had setbacks but who are being encouraged after visiting the USA. It would be so helpful to the Boyds if they came back determined to work full-time in the ministry now the Carters has gone. The trip to Torontowent well. Pray for Jonathan as he hopes to produce helpful materials for Pastors in the Spanish-speaking world.

Pray that getting the paperwork properly done and medical supplies through customs all goes very well. They need a buyer for the car they used here. Pray for the last Church visits. They leave the 29th!

He has had to go to the mainland for treatments. Pray for the family. His mom cannot go as she is having mobility difficulties.

Mark had a chance to give his testimony when a new teacher took over his language class. This was an answer to prayer. The book table each month has brought many opportunities. They appreciate our prayers.

Pray for fall and winter activities at IRBC. Pray for the outreach to Jews. Pray for Israel! Pray for our Patch Club and Compass Ministry. Don’t stop praying!
