Virgil and Dolores Bunjer

  • Retired missionaries from Germany, living in Ankeny, IA
  • Have a ministry to senior missionaries for Baptist Mid-Missions
  • They are happy that the Snells support has reached 55%. Language study continues with the Bungers. Pray that God speeds their way to help the Boyds with the Church plant in Neumarkt.

Louis Miller

  • Retired builder, living at Manning, IA

Allen and Marilyn Adler

  • Allen has yet to report on the outcome of his August eye surgery. Pray that Marilyn continues to progress with her health issues.

  • 2nd granddaughter has arrived safely. Lori flew to IA to be with Stacy and baby the first few days.

Mike and Peggy Carr

  • Missionary Builders with CBM, working at the Home Office
  • They leave MI this month to set up in a campground as they prepare the next build site for the builders’ RV’s. Pray for safe travel for all.

  • Dan is visiting Churches and colleges.
  • Pray for the ministry team at Katy, TX. Pray that support comes in for the Chiesa family to move to the ministry by the end of the year. The Whitchers daughter’s family needs a house. There has been a 25% increase in home prices in Katy. Pray God will provide their money needs!

  • Former medical missionaries to Nicaragua with ABWE searching for the Lord’s leading in future ministry.
  • They will be assigned by ABWE to International Health Ministries for short-term work around the world. They call it “active retirement.”

  • The Sharbaughs will arrive next month to lighten the Hatfield’s load.
  • Pray for intern, Monica Richards, as she helps with the ministries to Internationals.

  • She will return to Chad with a complete change in missionary co-workers! Pray for all to adjust.
  • Pray for her as she applies what she learned at a recent conference regarding a computer program that will be highly useful in the technical work of translation.

  • With Baptist Mid-Missions – Ghana.
  • They return to the States from teaching trip to Ghana on Oct. 4th.
  • Pray that support will speedily reach the goal they have so that they can go back permanently to work in the ministry there.

  • A 6-week furlough for the Taylor family is being scheduled from January to June 2017. Pray for them as they make plans and continue to faithfully serve up to the point of heading to the States.

  • Baptist Mid-Missions headed to the jungles of Peru
  • The visit from some from her Church family was a great encouragement.
  • Pray for the Christian School. Joy’s kindergarten was too advanced when the officials visited. They were using a curriculum and “learning.” She had them at Peruvian 2nd grade level, so she can’t teach there again. L

  • They have resigned from ABWE. Now with Village Missions.

Mark, Anahi, and Sophia Self

  • Serving in Argentina
  • The building work on the 3-story church continues. The structure itself is nearing completion.
  • Mark gives a glowing report of Emmanuel’s progress in the Christian faith. Pray for his family. His mother is growing in the Lord. His sister needs to make a decision as she sees the change in her mom and brother.

Rick and Elaine Fessel

  • Assisting the German Missionaries in Eichstatt, Germany (BMM)
  • There were several decisions made by individuals among the 49 campers.
  • The three young men were baptized. (Two were refugees, and hope to return to their homeland to preach the Gospel.)

Ben and Katie Wooster

  • CBM Builders.
  • Baby Kidren arrived and had to be resuscitated. He was in the NICU for several days. Time will tell if there will be any permanent damage.
  • The Woosters need to have meetings to continue to raise support so that they can get back to a building site as soon as it is feasible.
  • They are in the Manning area at least until the end of Oct.

The Hemsworths

  • On deputation to serve at Missionary Acres – now at 27% support.

The Barry Farlow family

  • Serving with Baptist Mid-Missions in Brazil in Church and Seminary teaching.
  • They continue to request prayer for Editora Batista Regular, the publishing ministry (gets pastors and churches good study/teaching materials in Portuguese). Brazil’s terrible economy has this ministry in dire financial need. Property needs to sell to help the bottom line. Check out: ebrministries.com
  • Caio and Mark (missionary’s son) accepted the Lord and show evidence of change.
  • Barry will be teaching Ezekiel in the Master’s Program at the seminary.

 

 

 

LET’S PRAY, GIVE, AND GO TO OUR NEIGHBORS AND CO-WORKERS! IF WE ARE ALL FAITHFUL IN OUR TASK, THE JOB WILL GET DONE!Pray for FBBC and Seminary students, Pastor Capon, State GARBC Rep.; the online Bible study for kids at www.iToadU.com ; Shepherd’s; Alpha Women’s Center (needs a Spanish-speaking volunteer); our KJAN Radio Broadcast and our website: www.fbcbrayton.org ; IARBC statewide ministries; Baptist Children’s Home Ministries; and Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh (latest report on the bulletin board tells that terrorism has become a new challenge for the ministry). Pray for Israel/the Jews. Pray that we will see those who need the Lord in our own neighborhoods. Patch Clubs and the Youth Compass ministries are just ahead. Pray for willing workers and for lots of boys and girls to attend this year. Pray families will see the need of boys and girls to hear the Gospel and to grow spiritually through: Sunday School, Children’s Church, and Patch/Compass ministry starting this month..
