Joan Nichols

  • Living in Ankeny, formerly served in Latin America.
  • After 3+ weeks of hospitalization for lung-related issues, Joan has moved to Israel Family Hospice in Ames, the same room as her husband occupied 8 years ago.

  • Widow of Gerald Titus faithfully serving the homebound in her area of VA

  • The Jingsts visited 3 Churches in July and attended Baptist Mid-Missions Family Conference.
  • They have worked at teen camp this summer and will assist in their Church’s new inner city after-school ministry this fall.
  • Pray for the new publishing project, a mini-book counseling series.

  • Church planters in Japan seeking to build relationships with people

Mike and Peggy Carr

  • Missionary Builders with CBM.
  • They have been assisting at both the Fort Scott, KS and the Curtis, MI project sites.
  • Pray for the builders who will endure the harsh winter at the Michigan project site.
  • Katie is learning to manage her migraine headaches. Pray for her.

  • Pray for her ministry to women with Sabrina’s Hope.

  • Serving in Romania with Baptist Mid-Missions.
  • An Ohio Church sent a team of 10 to help with VBS and Camp.
  • Praise the Lord for follow-up opportunities.
  • Pray for the choir ministry as the next concert is in September. This reaches parents!
  • Pray for the Warner family as they balance family and ministry. The children are 6, 3, and 4, and Mom is homeschooling.

Nicole Carr

  • Serving with Baptist Mid-Missions in Romania.
  • Nicole has been involved in Emanuel Hospice and Child Life Camp. Several children and teens made professions of faith. Pray that their families will be reached with the Gospel.
  • Pray for her ministry to specific youth in the Church, as they grow spiritually and show potential to be leaders.

The Jonathan Boyd Family

  • Missionaries to Colombia with ABWE. (BoydHome.com )
  • Jonathan needs to turn in his thesis by September 17. Pray that with ministry and teaching he can accomplish this!
  • Furlough is scheduled for December this year through August of next year.

Henry John Family

  • With Baptist Mid-Missions serving in their native India
  • Molly needs a kidney transplant.
  • Despite heat and bugs, the team of 10 that travelled to India this summer accomplished a lot; the highlight of the trip was that more than 35 decisions were made for Christ!
  • There are currently church plant works in 8 town in some of the most difficult parts of India.
  • Pray for the next team of 5. $7500 is still needed so that the group can be on their way this month.
  • Sharon was married July 28th to Joseph Freeland, Jr. They live in Ankeny (See the Missionary Board for photos!).

Pat and Bonnie Ryal

  • They are dealing with long-term effects of the chemo drugs the Dr. needed in order to go into remission with the cancer. An irregular heart rhythm is his latest health issue. Pray the Ryals can still be of use to the Lord in Nicaragua and other Latin American areas.

  • Campus Ministries at ISU in Ames
  • Students are back in school. Fellowships, studies, and meetings are being planned. New helpers from the local Church have come on board; more are needed.
  • Pray for the Bible studies.

  • Continue to pray for the every-day difficulties in the life of a translator there in Chad.

  • Micronesian Medical Missions, Baptist Mid-Missions, Guam

  • Persecution of Christians continues to increase in this part of India!

  • Church planting missionaries to Germany
  • The new building was ready. Over 100 German Christians travelled to the Inauguration Service to spend this special time with the newly organized Church in Neumarkt!
  • Two were baptized.
  • Pray for some facing opposition as they have personally accepted Christ and are publicly standing for the Lord.

The Snells

  • Baptist Mid-Missions to Germany.
  • They too were thrilled with the Church Formation Celebration.
  • Their next language test comes at the beginning of November.

  • Baptist Mid-Missions, in Brazil
  • Pray for Gabriel, a young Indian teen, who shows signs of being a future leader in the village ministry. Pray that he will not drift in his walk with the Lord.
  • John has helped build a bathroom downstairs in the Church – a man in a wheel chair who loves construction and can accomplish the impossible through the hands and bodies of others!
  • Read their letter on the “Missionaries we Pray for” board and read about their son’s upcoming wedding!

  • On deputation to serve at Missionary Acres with Baptist Mid-Missions.
  • A work team from Oskaloosa went down to Missionary Acres to pour cement and work on the Hemsworth’s house.
  • Pray that their support comes in so that they can be going about the ministry God has called them to.

  • By now, they should be back in S.A. from their recent furlough Pray for the adjustments of culture change and taking up ministry again.

 

 

 

 

LET’S PRAY, GIVE, AND GO TO OUR NEIGHBORS AND CO-WORKERS! IF WE ARE ALL FAITHFUL IN OUR TASK, THE JOB WILL GET DONE! Pray for FBBC and Seminary students – there are back in classes. Continue to pray for the remodeling in buildings damaged by floods of this summer. Pray for Pastor Capon, State GARBC Rep., the online Bible study for kids at www.iToadU.com ; Shepherd’s College; Alpha Women’s Center; our KJAN Radio Broadcast and our website: www.fbcbrayton.org ; Baptist Children’s Home Ministries; and Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh. Pray for Israel/the Jews. Pray that we will reach those who need the Lord in our own neighborhoods. Pray that boys and girls in the area can/will attend Patch Clubs and Sunday School and Church. Pray for and attend Women’s Bible Study and WMF Project Days!
